Las curiae son una institución jurídica y social de la Roma arcaica. Este artículo plantea la tesis que dicha institución habría evolucionado dentro de la primera etapa de la monarquía romana, desde una manifestación de una organización política consuetudinaria, a una organización propiamente ciudadana hacia el siglo VII a.C. mediante acción legislativa durante la misma monarquía.
