Abstract: This article tries to explain the reception of Poliziano’s works among the jurists of the Sexteenth Century. Just as his contribution to the collation of the Digest has been much studied, the same has not happened in the other areas of legal knowledge. Leaving aside the edition of Justinian’s texts, a global explanation of the reception of Poliziano among jurists is offered here, attending not only to the reception in the various genres of legal literature, but also to the influence of the philosophical historical and literary works in legal writings. The article attempts to answer four questions: 1) What jurists quoted Poliziano?; 2) What orientation did these Jurists have?; 3) What works of Poliziano were most cited by Jurists?, and 4) In what kind of works did the Jurists mention Poliziano? After the examination of more than a four hundred printed legal works from 1500 to 1600, a chronological and thematic classification is proposed, in order to show the reception of Poliziano among Jurists.
